talk about wtf... i just bought the fourth laserdisc with the last episodes of season 2, come to find that season 2 is coming out on dvd. i think i may buy the laserdisc player that i've been wanting to and show the series in its entirety on laserdisc. i have all the tv episodes, american and japanese lds of fwwm, and also the pilot on ld. what kind of statement would that make? sometime this year that will happen, at my house, probably on sunday nights, maybe this spring?

might I suggest www.isohunt.com or www.piratebay.org? yes its thievery but I would suggest that 20 pounds for a DVD (thats about 40 bucks) is thievery by a different name the bits and bytes want to be free...

For the avg TV show - I would be right with CTP on this, and I have been known to check out the bittorrents, but we're talking TP here, folks. In US at least, usually the week of retail release will have a lot of "big box" retail chains, dept. stores, will offer DVDs Music that are new as a kind of "loss leader" strategy where they will make the price way lower for a few days or so - hoping that you will buy TVS washing machines, etc once yr in the door. By going into it this way, Im sure you could shave this down to between $22 and $30 USD which for 20+ hours of TP is not a bad deal. Also: if the 2nd season DVDs go out of print like the first season DVDs did, I saw on ebay the first set is upwards of $200 which is beyond stupid, but with cult shit like this, if you miss it when it first goes on sale you might not have another opportunity to get it at a price where you dont get totally hosed.

All of the season 2's come with the Log Lady Intro's that were seen the first time TP re-aired on the Bravo network (I don't think they had the Log Lady intros when it initially aired on ABC). found some specs here. the transfer is pretty freekin awesome, much better than I had hoped for screen shots:
