Hope Cobain was a baseball fan. (If he was - Pitchfork is most certainly incorrect about the choice of teams - that MFY hat and pinstripes - blech)

It's definitely refreshing to see that at least one of us reads Pitchfork.
FWIW I wouldn't have chosen "Insistor" as the Tapes N' Tapes song.

doesn't everyone read Pitchfork?

Shit man - look at the cover. Ortiz last year was much more palatable

The other weird / cool thing is that on the Tapes N' Tapes tour, if you are lucky enough to see them in Minnesota, there is anspecial guest appearance od Chuck Klosterman. (Not to mention being able to play MLB 2K7 head to head w/ other underground music fans. Bitchin!)

Not any more, no. But I still give it a solid 7.0.

C'mon, man. It sounds like mid-period Bailter Space crossed with The Knife. You're being SO harsh.

why not?

The writing's fallen off, the records always get similar ratings, the stuff they cover doesn't strike me as terribly exciting, etc. Basically I'm old and bitter.

I just like the speed and frequency of the news updates. (I spose it slow sometimes, but there's usually at least one interesting kernel per day that I was not yet aware of)
I must admit to not usually fully reading the record reviews...
