I am going to play every card I have at that show, without any shame.
Are you, perchance, going to be up at ten on Saturday?

Posted by MF DU on 2007-02-07 19:37:26 +0000
What the fuck are you talking about?
Oliver Stone didn't rip off United 93.
Posted by jbcardinale on 2007-02-07 20:07:00 +0000
ok, one more time, I'm in.
Posted by ConorClockwise on 2007-02-07 21:36:13 +0000
Exactly!

I have an extra ticket to see Justin Timberlake (with Pink opening) in Nashville on March 16...the night before I turn 32. They are floor seats, and although they cost me a pretty penny, I'd be willing to pick you up from the airport, put you up for as long as you're staying, haul your ass around town (or let you borrow my car), and foot the bill for your ticket to the show. You'd totally have to buy me a beer, though.
Takers?
Posted by ConorClockwise on 2007-02-08 03:39:44 +0000
Very tempting.
Isn't Timberlake from Tenn or the south somewhere?
Posted by Corby Trouser Press on 2007-02-08 16:03:22 +0000
i just realised that i will be in the colonies by then - bung me on the list Mr flatmate!
Posted by Miriam on 2007-02-08 16:59:25 +0000
Does that mean you are coming to get your "Sexy Back"? Or that you want to go to a show in Boston? My Queen's English slang's not so good.
Posted by Miriam on 2007-02-08 16:59:42 +0000
He's from Memphis.
Posted by Epoisses on 2007-02-08 17:26:54 +0000
There's a four-ticket limit. So: DU, Virtue, JBCardinale and myself are all set.
We're in orchestra row KK, which I think translates to the eighth row.
If someone else wants to pont up for tix, Mr. Trouser Press and Dave Stoops were looking to get in, as well.
Posted by MF DU on 2007-02-08 17:31:01 +0000
I just got 2 FF tix (third row?)
Posted by MF DU on 2007-02-08 17:31:44 +0000
Been trying to call you Eye Posse...
Posted by Epoisses on 2007-02-08 17:37:22 +0000
Were you that 401 number I didn't recognize?
Posted by ConorClockwise on 2007-02-08 17:37:55 +0000
Wow.
$52.50?? I'm out.

If they only play 12 songs, its still less than $5 a song. Compare it to what the Police will ask for a ticket if they play at Fenway...
Posted by jbcardinale on 2007-02-12 18:56:16 +0000
Thanks, EP,
Is this the inception of modern crowdsurfing?
Posted by Epoisses on 2007-02-12 19:04:27 +0000
Might be the inception!
Posted by Epoisses on 2007-02-12 19:05:14 +0000
After seeing the Police on the Grammys last night, I think I'll pass on seeing 'em at Fenway. I might walk down to Lansdowne and listen for a while, though.

Rock concerts should always have play-by-play announcers.
"That's peanut butter"

I'll with you, Ep. We can bring lawn chairs and travelers.
Posted by Epoisses on 2007-02-12 19:23:39 +0000
Me and the Biz listened to the Rolling Stones on top of the Lansdowne parking garage a few years back -- that might be the move.
Posted by ConorClockwise on 2007-02-12 20:20:38 +0000
I saw Iggy at the 'Continental' on Bowery and St. Marks for $9 and I think he played 14 or 15 songs = 65 cents per tune.
Don't ask me how, but I plan on seeing the Police at Fenway for free.

Shit is comin up soon. Very psyched.
the Stooges's 'the Weirdness' is a just a balls out rock album with ultra macho (and almost bass-less) production.
Eye-poss put it best: Just a 60 year old singing songs about his dick.

That's allegedly Stiv Bators who passes Ig the peanut butter, I just read.
