TJ Maxx

Went to the Fresh Pond Mall today and hit up TJ Maxx and Whole Foods. Two notables: 1) I bought a pair of jeans. I haven't bought a pair of jeans since '95 in San Francisco, and I have not worn jeans since '99. Sorry 10D. 2) When I entered TJ Maxx, there was a store manager talking to a superior, probably regional manager. They discussed what was selling, how the displays were set up, and where the new shipments were going. The store manager left to do something in the back, and the superior manager called someone on his phone, while I browsed the Men's section next to him. He was discussing an upcoming meeting, quite loudly, and I was a bit distracted. After about two minutes an elderly woman started shopping near us. She approached the manager and said, "Excuse me, could you talk less loudly?" Oblivious, he didn't hear her. She rolled her eyes and went back to the racks. After another minute or two, she went right up to him and said, "Excuse me, you are talking very loud. Go outside, or I'll get a manager." He just stopped in his tracks, put a hand over the phone, said nothing, turned around, walked away, and said, "Are you there?" into the phone. Total Comedy.

It's the little things that make life a true sit-com.
