top 5 albums of all time?

Let's stop all this fussing and fighting, my friend.

1 - Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars (David Bowie)
2,3 - Revolver, Rubber Soul (The Beatles)
4 - Disintegration (The Cure)

The Huzb is helping me out, at least...

His:

2 - Screamadelica (Primal Scream)
3 - Music for the Masses (Depeche Mode)
4 - Stone Roses (Stone Roses)
5 - Specials (Specials)

Eponymy, thy name is Ed.

YES!

I like TGL's list.

BTW: I saw the News Confrence Suicide of R Budd Dwyer on you tube the other day. creepy.

Posted by tendiamonds on 2007-02-15 16:05:03 +0000
Wasn't Debaser a track on Doolittle? (which, regardless of its top-five-albums-of-all-time-ness, is _clearly_ the Pixies second best album (Surfer Rosa))

Posted by tendiamonds on 2007-02-15 16:05:51 +0000
Two Nuns and a Pack Mule/Budd - Rapeman

...technically a comp.

Posted by mahatma chani on 2007-02-15 17:09:43 +0000
For my damaged ears, I think The Pixies best record was "Trompe Le Monde." I feel I'm in the minority with that one.

Posted by pamsterdam on 2007-02-15 17:15:46 +0000
Oh yeah. Sorry - brain damage. What I meant to say is that my 6th favorite album of all time is Hey.

Posted by tendiamonds on 2007-02-15 17:13:40 +0000
It's because your opinion is wrong.

Posted by tgl on 2007-02-15 17:18:46 +0000
Is the song about Kim Gordon's panties on the Budd portion?

Posted by mahatma chani on 2007-02-15 17:20:47 +0000
Oh, how silly of me. I forgot I'm not allowed to have a contrary opinion.

Posted by pamsterdam on 2007-02-15 17:27:00 +0000
Actually, mahatma, my songwriting friends (few though they are) all prefer Trompe Le Monde. I've always felt inferior for preferring Doolittle - it's a Top 40 listener's choice, isn't it? But I can't really help what I am. Anyhow, anyway, people who give you crap for preferring TLM can stick it up their ass. No offense to 10D intended.

Posted by MF DU on 2007-02-15 17:37:03 +0000
hands down favorite album of all time is Ten Diamonds Corrected Me, by a Norwegian band whose name eludes me at the moment...

Posted by MF DU on 2007-02-15 17:38:19 +0000
I don't know what it is, but I'm pretty sure 10 D can find some faults with the above grammar.

Posted by tendiamonds on 2007-02-15 17:51:07 +0000
Isn't that the one with the song MF DÜ is a Snotty Snotbag on it? I love that song.

Posted by tendiamonds on 2007-02-15 17:51:26 +0000
No.

Posted by MF DU on 2007-02-15 17:57:22 +0000

Jesus Christ, I just had a good look at Tommy's list. He is our cool big brother, isn't he? (regardless of age, I mean)

Damn.
