Beer?

As far as Im concerned, any substance made using barley has a good chance of turning out excellent. Beer would be another example, yes.

And people often forget w/o barley there'd be a lot less beer.

I appreciate my barley in liquid form. Although, it's not so bad in soup.

There'd just be more Rolling Rock.

Last time I checked, isn't soup in liquid form?

Not the barley in the soup. Not sure it's really "barley" by the time it makes it to my barley pop.

A favorite memory: International camp in Roskilde, Denmark in 1986...walking along the road back from the pier where I dropped my camera into the North Sea, never to be seen again, I picked some barley from the side of the road and ate it. Still can taste the deliciousness!

That's what I'm drinking!?!

Calm down Rory. No barley was injured in the making of your PBR™.

Really? You know this fo-sho tgl?

We really have to make a push for cruelty-free barley. Stop the exploitation!

No, I don't know. I would expect it's mostly rice, though.
Posted by ConorClockwise on 2007-02-21 16:29:53 +0000
I would expect mostly corn and wheat chaif.
Posted by Miriam on 2007-02-21 18:41:28 +0000
I saw part of a documentary on moonshine the other night. That's all corn all the time.

You can make 'shine out of anything that will ferment, corn's just the cheapest, so that's what it usually was.

Cool. My one of my grandfathers was an IRS agent who occasionally had to go up into the Tennessee hills with his pistol and badge on still raids.

He was also a Mason who would bring shoes to kids in those same hills every year.
