I played the above in its entirety last night - holy shit!
I had heard his version of Burt Bacharach's 'Look Of Love', but the one I knew so well must have been some kind of bastardized less-than 5 minute radio edit. On Hot Buttered Soul I got the song in its 12+ minutes of glory. The backup band the Bar Kays are insane. The wah wah dirty funk electric sound of this is stunning.
FWIW: The 2nd track "Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic" is the source material the Bomb squad got the rolling/looping piano sample used on Public Enemy's Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos on 'Nation Of Millions'

Call me a blasphemer if you must, but Huey Lewis and the News has always struck me as an excellent bar band.
(BTW: I would never in a million yrs imagine a Stax/Watt artist conversation could so quickly veer into Mr, Lewis lol - the power of RSN)
