Those in the trades -- plumbers, electricians, carpenters.

oh come on - I get paid to party, its literally in the job description and i get a 1,000 a month in no questions asked drinking expenses
- brokers and traders get my vote
Posted by G lib on 2007-02-26 13:14:20 +0000
That sounds like no fun at all.
Posted by G lib on 2007-02-26 13:16:37 +0000
I wasn't kidding about food service workers when I voted for them.
Posted by virtue on 2007-02-26 15:12:25 +0000
Me either, which means you should reevaluate your statement, 10d.
Posted by tendiamonds on 2007-02-26 15:23:39 +0000
Food service workers are around a party environment all day, and the amount they party, relative to their work life, is not any more than the amount Desk Geeks do, relative to their work life. Except that they're way more proud of it, and likely to make a poll to toot their own partier-than-thou horn. _lame_

Wow, 10D, did you get my poll wrong:
First off, partying harder isn't exactly something one should be "proud" of nor "toot".
Second, I wasn't looking for a "relative" vote.
Third, I didn't vote for my job.
Last, you seem much more proud as you voted for you own job.

I only commented, I didn't vote.
I beg to differ. I think you are proud of how hard you party, and part of that honor, is not being proud of it, so you need to deny it to feed the monkey. It's OK, CC, we still love you, even though you are kowtowing to your own insecurity.
Relative is _everything_.
I do not party at all. At my house, we do have a "potty" though, which is way hardcore.
Posted by ConorClockwise on 2007-02-26 16:57:23 +0000
10D, I honestly have never known you to be so wrong.
I am certainly insecure, but I'm definitely not kowtowing.
The only reason I included food service in the poll was for tgl, who coined the term, "party like I'm in food service."
Get a grip, 10D. Relative is nothing in superlatives.
Posted by tendiamonds on 2007-02-26 16:59:38 +0000
You still don't know me to be as wrong as you think I am.
Relative is everything in everything.
Posted by tgl on 2007-02-26 17:02:40 +0000
Wow, I _did_ coined that term. I must have been partying pretty hard.
What prompted the poll? Real Estate broker convention at the Sheraton Commander?
Posted by Epoisses on 2007-02-26 17:08:59 +0000
Being bossed around by a bunch of high-maintenence assholes doesn't qualify as a 'party atmosphere.'

We have a winner!

Close tgl.
Coldwell Banker Real Estate party on Elm St near Porter Sq. I was the third youngest person there out of 25 or so. Insane.
Highlights included coming out of the bathroom, when the person prior to me had clearly taken a shit, then walking into the kitchen and the smell of stinky cheese was worse than the bathroom. Man.

Well if that's the criteria...
