I'd love for Forrest Whittaker to win it, but Peter O'Toole must have a hell of a speech planned.

Excellent point Epoisses, but alas no speech from Mr. O'Toole. I'm laughing still just thinking about it.

O'Toole was visibly upset.

Just noticed Errol Morris in the credits... did they replay his montage from 2002 or was there something new?

New piece with 3 to 6 second clips of most of this year's nominees all in front of a huge white backdrop.

Tried to find it last night online, no luck. Thought is was interesting that both Best Actor awards went to performances depicting real people.

Again -- last year it was Phillip Seymour Hoffman for Capote and Reese Witherspoon for Walk The Line. the year before that, of course, Cheadle was robbed and Jamie Foxx won it for Ray.

I guess if you wanna win an Oscar now, you gotta do an impersonation of a famous person.

A really good impersonation of a famous person.

Saw "Pan's Labyrinth" last night. Good stuff. Suprisingly deeper than I thought it was going to be.

Haven't seen 'Lives of Others', but it's hard to imagine a better film of '06.
