Rory_Stark sent me
I don't have anything to add to any of the current threads, so I'm starting one of my own, with my own pseudonym to boot.
Nolita, light of my life, fire of my loins.
There are way more hot chicks here than in Central Sq.

Nice. Welcome, Barney.
The theory is that NYC is the epicenter of fashion. People who are interested in fashion tend to look good. If you are interested in fashion you move to NYC.
This does not explain my $7 green short sleeve shirt from the discount store (now closed) behind the inbound bus station in Central Square, and how hot I look in it.

Again, nice.

welcome Barney. Only two rules: dont talk to Mike F about Jandek or to me on John Zorn, Albert ayler, Spike Lee, Republicans, Democrats, or Ricardo Montalban. Oh yeah, and dont mention the war. I think I got away with it once, but never mention the war.
Have Fun :)

NYC chicks are anorexic (sp?) and don't make eye contact. Shit sucks.

They don't make eye contact because they're too busy looking at their reflections in store windows.
(Between the grates or iron bars covering said windows, of course.)

It's nice to have a few years separation with 2001 Sept. 11, it's becoming OK to have disdain for New Yorkers again. Thanks for the stand-in, France, but we don't need you anymore.

Too true, Terry.
Ahhhh.... The little thrill I get from having unfounded crusty New England prejudices... It's a feeling not unlike nostalgia.

I, for one, can personally testify a disdain for New York again, especially since I spent the better part of four years working on a street that tried really hard to be in that city, you know?
