Why?
Because he didn't get GB pregnant even though she obviously was gasping for someone to be a sperm donor, and every man should want to have a baby with her because she's so hot?
Posted by pamsterdam on 2007-03-09 14:59:33 +0000
Or maybe because he's yesterday's news (and a fatty)? It could be the sympathy vote that CC's talking about...
...although I can't even muster pity for the rat-faced arse. (LD, not CC - CC has a very pleasant not-ratty face)

Here's my guess, and in the absence of CC, I'll take the liberty of speaking for him (let's see how this goes over!), because I'm bored am a little worked up about this issue.
CC likes LD generally because he is the environmental change broker of Hollywood, drives a Prius to the Oscars, and this year did the song and dance with Al Gore. [I actually thought this was funny.] He's using his 'star power' (for what it's worth) to change the USA mass opinion-- who knows how effective it is, but CC admires him for trying.
CC also admires LD more for not getting GB knocked up-- which she obviously was trying to do, and she, in turn, probably broke up with him because she wanted a kid, which he didn't.
__________
My opinion:
CC's comment irked me. Probably because I jumped to the "he should have gotten her preggers because GB is hot" conclusion too soon. As in, he should have gotten her pregnant so that he would increase his chances of having a beautiful child? I don't get it.
The other (less likely) option is that CC happy that LD the environmentalist, is not bringing a child into the world to consume more resources. However, this argument just seems suspicious to me-- What if LD had been dating Roseanne? Would CC admire him as much for not getting her pregnant if she was gasping for it?
Thirdly, was it a smart idea for TB to knock up two ladies in the space of a couple of months right after ditching his wife? In the words of my new favorite blogger, Violent Acres (who happens to be pretty offensive, usually,
"When a woman bears your child, she’s got you by the balls for at least 18 years. That’s our legal system how it stands and it’s going to stay that way until men pull together and lobby for change as opposed to condemning each other for being ‘whipped.’
There is only one way that a man can avoid a similar fate and that is to avoid knocking a bitch up in the first place. While I’m sure that the majority of my readers are such perfect judges of character that they have never made the mistake of thinking they loved someone who wasn’t worth spit, most people aren’t as flawless. Some guys sleep with mean girls. However, this doesn’t mean that they want to conceive a child with them. Unfortunately for men, it is much harder to protect themselves against an unwanted pregnancy than it is for women considering that they don’t have anywhere near the amount of reproductive options that women do.
Oh, and Pamsterdam, I never have found LD attractive. He is ratty looking. I don't get what people see in him. And CC does have a very pleasant, not-ratty face, with an impish little twinkle in his eye.

No, just icky.

Really, Brady, this is just gross.
Shouldn't love and a good partnership be the determining factor of bringing a child into the world rather than 'how many models can I stick my dick into?'
Posted by pamsterdam on 2007-03-09 16:02:10 +0000
Thank God I'm not the only woman to find him (now and always) physically repulsive.
...is it really possible that these were all (both?) planned pregnancies? Aiyiyi.
...and didn't GB dump LD for turning into Marlon Brando? (that is, before even passing through the "hot young stud" phase MB did so well)

I am stunned. Wow.

I'm, flattered by the time and effort in the response, G.
