Later... Jools Holland
Out of all the mind-blowing things that came out of being a roadie for C4RT in Waterville, ME: Later... with Jools Holland may have topped the list.
Here's a fun game. The Later... show I'd have liked to have seen:
David Gilmour, Paul Simon, The Streets, Elvis Costello and Allen Toussaint, Nacao Zumbi.
...I'm such a hardcore Zumbi fan.
Looking at the show archives underscores my belief that every musical set is recorded separately and they are edited together to look like all bands are in the studio at the same time.
UPDATED: Vote closes in 3 days at OurStage. The Boston Globe tells me C4RT is up in the Rock category.
UPDATED2: Their entries as "Hip Hop" are higher than in "Rock", although there are about one fourth total entries in Hip Hop.
Episodes that I have seen:
-Sonic Youth
-Radiohead
-David Bowie
Good stuff here.
