I'm camping out for 'em. Anyone who wants in is welcome- the plan, right now, while we're still being hypothetical, is to get a big ol' posse, descened en masse to the ballpark at like 10 pm the night before, and rock out.
Thoughts?

I'm registered in the lottery. All those 10-pack holders seem pretty smart now.
OK, they seemed pretty smart before. I'm buying into the 10-pack scheme for 2005 as soon as possible.

As a 10th Man, I do already have tickets to the first playoff home game, however, that's not going to be enough... I'll be campin, I think

Hey 10, what color is your 10th man package? If you had tickets to last Wednesdays game against Tampa, does that mean you also have tickets this Wednesday and Sunday? Are you giving up your ticket to see the last (regular season) MFY game for the Mets vs. Cubs?

What happens if we camp out anyway? Just sit in our tents playing cards on Yawkey Way, with the Cordless internet hook-up, waiting for a response to the lottery....
Fenway worker: "Excuse me, but we aren't selling tickets here."
Us: "Oh we know, we all registered at red sox dot com, but we would like to be as close to the Park as possible when we find out. Sardine?"

So on the Dirtdogs page we have some New Hampshire native wihining about the scalping situation, sick of being 'accosted'. I've never had any problems with scalpers becuase I DON'T USE THEM. Seriously!

I support the right of the RS to crack down on scalpers, however, don't whine about it if you're purchasing from them.

The whining is coming from people who are forced to use scalpers because they don't have their shit together (especially on the day when tickets go on sale.) Very little to no sympathy for such complaining.

Thank you for registering for a chance to purchase tickets for
the Red Sox postseason. Unfortunately your entry was not selected
for our online ALDS sale. But should ALCS tickets be made
available, you are automatically eligible for that random
drawing. Details on any ALCS ticket sale will be announced at a
later date.
Thank you again for your participation.
