How we spent the last two days
This image was taken before the indelible nail-polish stains (and 998 other unidentified stains, none of which would come out, even under chemical persuasion and even though the carpet was officially "Stainmaster") appeared:
It really gives you no sense of how gross the carpet was by the time "K" moved out.
Rather than putting in another carpet, we decided to install a new parquet floor:
