Jack Nicholson and Art Garnfunkel's respective lovelives over a twenty-or-so year period. Good acting by Nicholson, natch, as well as Candice Bergen and Ann-Margaret. Cool camera work- lots of speeches being given to the camera before cutting to whoever is being addressed.
