Mmm, I don't know. Might not even be Lynch's best movie.

I had never seen it till this weekend, for some unknown reason. It's funny, characters are good (maybe Isabella Rosalini overacted a little bit) and it comes together a lot better than some of his other films. Granted it's a love story but at least you know what the hell is going on.

Paging MF DU.

I blame this film for my delayed interest in the opposite sex.
No, really.

I swear to God I had noi influence in the creation of this post.
P.S. God Bless David Lynch

Vouching for MF DU:
He was neither aware of my posting, nor did he encouraged me, nor was I aware of him encouraging Mr. Mr, to post about M. Lynch.
The Lynch Immersion?
"Jake would have wanted it this way."

How about this: "Blue Velvet" was the best movie that inspired an Anthrax song?
Posted by tendiamonds on 2007-06-18 13:02:15 +0000
Can that compete with Misery, since the Basket Full of Puppies song and the movie are both based on the same book?
Posted by MF DU on 2007-06-18 14:01:35 +0000
The "Now It's Dark" (and I Can See, Dont You Fuckin Look at Me) song is pretty good,
but I was always partial to the Stand inspired song "Among The Living" (I'm the man with the power! Follow me or die! AMONG! AMONG! AMONG! AMONG!)
come to think of it, I always liked the 'thrax tune based on Apt Pupil "Skeletons In The Closet" (Tell Me a Story! Will Ya? Will Ya? A real good story! - I won't leave till ya - Spill your guts old man)
For a while Scott Ian et. al were some of Stephen King's strongest advocates.

Um, I might have to negate the entire above post. Blue Velvet was not a book before it was a film. Mahatma Chani - 2 points. MF DU - penalty - wrong media citation - yellow flag has been waved.

"Misery Loves Company" was pretty good. Wait a cotton pickin' minute! Anthrax immersion?
Posted by MF DU on 2007-06-18 14:25:38 +0000
Citing the above "best fucking idea i've heard in a long time", I'm out.

I think you're onto something MC.
Tommy, enough metal in the 'Thrax for you?

"Lisey's Story" is his best novel in the past ten years, easy.

What is it? Caught in a mosh!

I have never ever had sex because Dennis Hopper's character's name was Frank. God damn that David Lynch.

Both creepy and intriguing, theduane. You have yet to let me down.
