Book deal

I will have two books published by Cider Mill Press (a division of Sterling) in April of 2008. Both are crossword puzzle anthologies: one about the Boston Red Sox, one about the New York Yankees. Test-solvers wanted (I can't pay ya, but you can get a shoutout in the introduction).

I can take a stab, but my baseball knowledge is negligible. Can I still get a shoutout if I just support your endeavor?

Congratulations!

Woot! Wooot! An aside: We've recently started to receive the NYTimes at home. While Saturday's crossword stumped me, I was able to complete Monday's while on the throne. Yesterday took me a bit longer, however, a previous solver had left behind some erroneous entries. Anyway, I was a little worried on Saturday that my mad skillz at cruciverbs had eroded. Today's puzzle will tell, I guess.

The Saturday puzzles are the hardest ones of the week! I wouldn't get too discouraged, though, those usually take me usually one or two sittings. Only rarely if I'm on the wave-length of that constructor/editor can I nail it in a sitting (David Quarfoot comes to mind). This Sunday 21x in the Times is mine.

I'd like to test-solve a puzzle or two or three. Congrats!

Nice work MC. And sign me up for the solving.

Negligible baseball knowledge, but volunteer myself for test solving anyway.

Update: Needed to Google Search for Harpo's brother who wasn't named Groucho. Missed one 3x7 section yesterday. Might have taken a full hour.

Never thought I'd say this, but here goes. Finished. All that's left is the arduous process of uploading the Yankees manuscript onto their server. And it is arduous as every element (clues, grid, solution) are stand-alone pieces. But whatever. It's motherfucking booze time!
