For the Mulatu fans

Not sure if there's more than one Mulatu Astatke fan out there, But info below taken from an email from:
The Either/Orchestra
who will be performing at:
The Somerville Theatre
Davis Square, Somerville MA
September 29, 2007: 8 pm
with special guests
Hana Shenkute, Setegn Atanaw, Minale Dagnew and Mulatu Astatke
tix: $28 http://www.worldmusic.org/

Many of you will remember the wonderful show in 2006 at the Berklee Performance Center, combining Ethiopian traditional music, Ethio-pop and Ethio-jazz. This will be a reprise, plus we'll have the presence of our Ethiopian "uncle" - Mulatu Astatke, who will be spending the coming academic year in Cambridge as a Radcliffe Fellow.

Hana is a terrific singer, Setegn a virtuoso of the masinko (one-string violin) and Minale plays the meaning krar (lyre) this side of Addis. Hana is sure to bring a dazzling array of traditional garb from Ethiopia, and change costumes at least eight times!

SWEEEET this looks awesome.

I think the last worldmusic sponsored show I saw was Ornette Coleman / Prime Time @ Berklee in 1994

As an apology for my recent flakiness (re: Negativland), once I get paid on Wednesday, I could front for 2 folks and buy a total of 3 tix together. Does this sound good / doable?

Anyone down for some good food before or after in Davis Square?

Find me on github.
