Great except for the "What's not right?" game at 3am.
..and The Wife is drinking more of the morning's plunger pot.

Do they make "Big Boy" french presses? :)
I have often had the same problem. all I see at the stores is a standard 4 cup size which obviously doesnt always get the job done.
3am games don't last forever, but I know thats of little comfort now.

Not as bad as some horror stories I've heard.
8 cups around here, but <a href="http://www.worldmarket.com/kitchen-tabletop/cookware/coffee-pot-tea-pot/Bodum-Chambord-French-Press/lev/4/productId/1752/Ne/1100001/N/1100166/categoryId/1100166/pCategoryId/1100163/gpCategoryId/1100131/Ns/NEW_ARRIVAL_FLAG|1||CATEGORY_SEQ_3009|0/index.pro?PIPELINE_SESSION_ID=50a346f7c0a85b66370e96fce615869b">12 cup</a> might be the way to go. Although, the 8 cup means three mugs in this household.

Wow - cool. Although if I did that, I know I would want a legit Burr grinder up in my piece.
Sigh - the quest for perfect coffee is an endless struggle.

We have a Krups burr grinder. While the consistency and automatic measuring is great, the lid to the bin is atrocious and there is always a mess of grinds to clean up.

duly noted. I will have to go to my Dad's and look @ the consumer reports archives.

Switching to buying ground coffee is a decision I do not regret.
I've been hitting the quality cup for a while and my key is Major Dickason's Blend.

We still have the 3AMs, if I can quell any comfort you may have derived from DU. However, it's usually pretty quick.
