In A Silent Way is better IMHO.

In addition to having all the electric nuances 'Brew' is famous for, you also have remnants of the second classic Davis lineup: W Shorter on sax, Tony Williams drums. The electric piano on the beginning of Shhh. Peaceful leading into the muted trumpet interplay of Davis still gives me goosebumps. Potential Name of Child # 2 for DÜ: Miles Ellery Ladew What do you think?

You can't play the Fagen Name Game yet! Not much of a Miles fan (!), probably due to lack of exposure. Willing to listen to anything with Wayne Shorter on it, though.

While I am in a dorkified tizzy over the impending release of the Complete 'On The Corner Sessions' I came across a great Zawinul feature.Transcript of a great 1996 interview from arguably the world's greatest music magazine The Wire Howard Mandel is up there with Jonathan Lethem, Lester Bangs, Ashley Kahn, etc. when it comes to music writing. Good stuff.
