It probably would have been best for me to wait to share our news.

After some additional blood levels were taken, Jackie's hormone levels have dropped and the Dr. has told us this particular pregnancy is a no go.

I am very optimistic for the future, though, and Maddie and I are doing the best we can to cheer Mommy up :).

You are right! The Sky Bar reference brought it all into clear relief. I remember Chris Olds being utterly awesome that night (was there dancing?) and I think I'd gotten ahold of some clove cigarettes, which doesn't bode well for my being on good behavior. I hope Jackie forgives me.

Seriously, I wish I could say or do something even remotely helpful. In the absence of knowing what that might be, I send lots of affection Chez DU.
