Chrome Immersion #1 -- "Alien Soundtracks" (1978)

<img src="http://www.staticwhitesound.com/chrome/discography/300x300/Alien_Soundtracks.JPG">

Record is <a href="http://www.sendspace.com/file/6qjl2o">here</a>. It's zipped, I can't make winace archives.

I don't think this charted well.

Not the first Chrome album, but the first one with Helios Creed. More info at Wikipedia: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrome_%28band%29">Chrome (band)</a>.

'I don't think this charted well.'

I nominate this as POTD for yesterday, which I missed...

<i>Alien Soundtracks</i> is a bit uneven. Some high marks:

SS Cygni
Pygmies In Zee Dark
Pharoah Chromium

Great big chugging rhythms with screeching, acerbic riffs.

"Slip It To The Android" has a Zappa/Beefheart feel, methinks.

7.87 stars.
