I scarcely didn't have to tell you that the CMJ "festival" is a complete fucking joke. We got hosed last year by them first by getting rejected, then given a "consolation date" at 2:30 in the morning in a bar half the size of O'Briens. I guess <a href="http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/45883-did-cmj-reject-artists-without-even-listening-to-them">this</a> doesn't suprise me at all. Depressing.

The $45 should be refunded to any band that has documented proof of zero CMJ consideration.

If CMJ really wants to repair relationships in this area, they should just refund every bands fee$. What are the chances of that? Crooks.

Sorry. Used to have a friend there who ran the place. But he quit while the ship seemed to be sinking. My guess is that it's still barely afloat and you're one of the bands they threw overboard. Again, sorry.

I am going down there to see Spoon. I didn;t know it was part of that CMJ bullshit or I would have boycotted. To see a show it seems like you have to wait in line for an hour or two if the band is half decent.

I bought the first Tick comic back in the day. This Spoon thing is all news to me. Maybe I should read more of....

The first handful of comics were fantastic. Oedipus and Ninja World come to mind.
