You'll be happy to know that freedom of choice is alive and well. I chose between Libertarian, Green, Republican and Democrat ballots.
Of course, in East Cambridge, only one ballot had named candidates.

I know they are a bit extreme, but god bless the Libertarians: socially liberal as all get out and economically conservative. If we can get some coherent candidates and lose the fringe attitude, they just might be onto something as far as I'm concerned.

On the political spectrum, moving far left or far right gets you to the same place. Disregarding religious fundamentalism, of course.

yeah: I'm not a big fan of religous fundamentalism. Big proponent of separation of church and state. Ho hum. I'll never get a candidate that falls in line with my ideals. Kind of like when I was a college freshman looking to date girls who were into John Zorn.

I just had lunch with a friend (Carl Eklof of the Union Ares) whose girl _likes_ Neurosis.
Shocking.

I just checked out the MP3's- they sound pretty good.

yeah. Road trips are a hard sell when I'm with Jackie. I love her to death, but music on the car rides can be tricky. common ground = Weezer, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis (acoustic only) (with apologies to terry) Dave Douglas
Never ever under any circumstances: any Albini project, Melt Banana, Albert Ayler, any non singinging Mike Patton stuff: Fantomas, Tomahawk, etc. Boredoms, Neurosis, Converge, any non-Masada Zorn, Otomo Yoshihide, Derek Bailey, Miles Davis (electric only), Pharoh Monche, you get the picture....
