Is anyone interested in going to see Ingmar Bergman's version of Mozart's <i>The Magic Flute</i> on Sunday afternoon at the Film Archive? Showtime is 3PM.
The trial-by-fire and trial-by-water sequences freaked me out when I saw it as a kid...but on the whole it's a very comic adaptation, and narratively and visually interesting.
