Anyone own a belt sander?

and would they be willing to lend it to me for a week or two? my canoe paddle project is progressing nicely but a belt sander would be super handy. Of course on a "bend it, i bought it" basis.

Aye. Aye. Might be able to work out a transfer on Monday (before Tuesday). You might want different belts.

If you bring it to hell night, tgl, I can transfer it to ctp. (Can i borrow it when he's done? I have a book case in need of some love?)

I have a legit pad sander (not a disc sander!) that when used with <60 grit should get the job done as well...

cheers, i have pad and disk sanders galore at work - i wanted to set the belt sander up in a fixture so i can sand my wonky saw cuts square so as to facilitate accurate marking out, proper prior prep etc erm...tgl...if you happened to have a decent sized plane as well i would be willing to have your babies (move over L) i just bought a honing guide so could return it to you sharper than David Nivens suits

Are you at Q in Lynn this week or am I bringing these items to the East Coast Grill tomorrow?

Posted by virtue on 2008-01-28 17:08:54 +0000
I will be in Lynn and at east coast with car, so whichever is most convenient for you (despite what happens when one assumes, I am going to walk on the wild side and say that CtP is unlikely to have a preference, and that he isn't going to be commuter railing to Lynn to pick them up).

Lorbering: CtP has also informed me that I do not want to borrow your belt sander as it is the wrong tool for my project (heh, heh, I said tool).

It's certainly easier if I don't have to bring them to work tomorrow. See You Wednesday.
