The following is an announcement for the first non-wedding event I've planned since Miriam and I got full-body searched at the Brighton Center cop shop.
Reasons to go:
1. It's a benefit for Eastie's first (and only) community art space, and we really need one.
2. You can see art by Liz, the woman who skinned the humping dog at the bad gift swap this year. (as CTP said "um, you forgot your pelt" as they were leaving.)
3. The Makeout Club sings a song that includes "you can't be a stalker without binoculars"
4. The Atlantic Works space is just AWESOME
5. BTO is debuting our new cover of "Wipeout!"
6. You feel guilty because you had a hand in getting me arrested the last time. THAT MEANS YOU, YES YOU!

The afterparty will either be at 112 Trenton St., Cafe' Italia, Eddie C's, or the dive-y-est bar I've ever been to, Trainor's, depending on people's prerogatives.

Street Cultural Exchange Center this Saturday. You helped put our little performing
arts center on the map (not to mention giving us a good headstart on our rent this
month). Your performance was great, and we were so thrilled to be able to give
people the opportunity to experience you. We hope you can come back and perform

It's a small space but it was standing room out into the hallway. The East Boston Makeout Club Band were a huge hit. And my mother said that she was going to write a letter to Jay Leno to get us an appearance on his show. Alas, my camera went missing so no pictures.
