Tech question

Is there a economic way (read: free) I can store files for a few hours without having to buy an external hard drive? Perhaps online somewhere? Maybe 20-25 gigs? Vista has decided I no longer have a DVD drive and if there's a way I could move those files safely somewhere, I might be tempted to reformat my hard drive.

What type are they? Would uploading them into google docs work?

20 - 25 gigs? Probably not, and it would take days. Any way you could get a 2 gig thumb drive for $15, and transfer the stuff a dozen times or so?

you could get a 100+ Gb external hard drive for less than $50, then you can transfer all over the MF'in place.

You could borrow an external hard drive. I have a 500G one (cost $100) that has about 492G free. Although my disk is more portable, I'm not letting it out of my house, but you could bring your computer over...
