February 29th

Just making sure I got a post in today. Theoretically I'm supposed to play 'beer-die' in the basement of The Mill in Middlebury, VT today...

Playing beer die on a leap year date - sounds excellent. I am taking Maddie Nigs to a kid rock concert tonight @ UMASS - former Del Fuego Dan Zanes.

Wow. I love Kid Rock!

Can speed metal be far behind?

Wow, I didn't know that at all. I love Dan Zanes and Del Fuegos. Putting on Boston, Mass right... now.

L: The Pants and I spent 30 minutes figuring out the logistics of making it to this show tonight. Next time.

Leap into Spring Training! First game is on NESN tonight. Anyone who knows how to get to Holliston is invited to watch on my new HDTV.

I said the prayer for new things on my way to work this morning. Not that I'm getting more religious...just seemed appropriate for something that only comes around when there are impending summer olymics.

We try to take Maddie Nigs to these types of things at least 2 or 3 times a year. Next time one comes up, I will try and start a thread earlier for this type of thing so we can congregate all our 2nd generation RSN'ers...

L: It was a good show. The UMASS fine arts center was WAY bigger a venue than when we took the critter to the DZ and Friends show @ Somerville theater last year. A lot of folk tunes, some protest stuff, a lot of animal imitation songs, the lobby had cookies and milk, some booths, and LOTS of rambunctious tykes. Found this vid on You tube this morning:

I can't get behind that.

Baby, you've come a long way.

The DZ and Friends video might be better if it featured the Harvard Bridge.

One of the best pick slides in rock history.
