The Rays seem to be able to beat the Angels, unlike some other playoff-caliber teams. Does that mean anything? How, praytell, does the season play itself out? Is it the Twins or the Sawx as the Wild Card? Is this the year the Cubs win the October Classic? Be brave, prognosticators. Be brave.

We all knew at some point the Devil Rays were going to make the playoffs. I just thought it would've been with Lou Pinella or similar manager. I don't really know Joe Maddon, but he seems to know what he's doing. Cliff Floyd is a monster, and if Longoria and Percival come back healthy soon, look out!

While we were waiting for the valet outside of Eastern Standard last night (roughly 10:00, right after the game), my boneheaded uncle from Bradenton, FL, was wearing his "TB" hat. Nobody gave him shit. Maybe they thought he was promoting Tuberculosis.
