Tragic. I kept telling myself I would go to one of his oft-book New England appearances, but never did. I love all the stand up specials he has done over the years.

He absolutely will be missed.

One of my faves was a routine that was something to the extent of a bunch of people waiting in line to get "on" a plane. Mr. Carlin is emphatic of how incorrect this phrase is: "FUCK YOU! I'm getting IN the plane."
