It's better to sit towards the back at his concerts - although it's still a fine sight when he rips off that shirt.

Found that out the hard way, TFC - I nearly died about 5 feet away from the stage during the Vauxhall and I tour. Those b*tches are vicious.
Oh! You meant to soften the visuals. Aha. Right.
Yeah, he still looks in fairly good shape. And we'll always have celluloid - the video for November Spawned a Monster still does funny things to me. And I don't mean funny "ha ha". When he starts writhing on the ground, arches his back, reaches inside his shirt and strokes his chest...
If pressed for time, just watch from 2:51 to 3:04 (tongue-flick at 3:29/3:30). You're welcome.

I noticed this in the "New York Doll" movie (doc about Arthur Kane). They were interviewing this old dude, and it took me a while to realize it was Morrisset. Turns out he's not even 50 yet, though. He looks older than that.

OH MY GOD! I DIDN'T KNOW MORRISEY WAS GAY?!?!?!"

But in all seriousness, he had me until the chocolate bar. What the fuck was that?
3:46, if you're pressed for time.

Making love to a rock...that was hottt!! Thanks!!

What kills me is that he's always been so bitchy-yet-worshipful about Oscar Wilde regarding his girth (waistline, people, waistline). As I recall Mozzer wrote You're the One for Me, Fatty about dear Oscar and made some statement to the effect that Oscar must've been a carnivore due to his remarkable corpulence. Well, Stephen darling, it looks as if even vegetarians can get a wee bit girthy, eh?
Must see that film, thanks for the reference...

I had to skip around to the segments you guys pointed out (I'm at work - in silence, too!) - but I did like the chocolate thing. Rocks, chocolate, writhing, it all goes together.

Super-yum. Love those flicky-tongued English pop stars (Mozzer, Robert Smith, Dave Gahan... *sigh*)
But lusting after Moz has always been a deeply guilty pleasure for me - it doesn't seem right, somehow, for a straight girl to harbor those kinds of feelings for a gay man. It's like having dirty thoughts about a priest.
Hm. Very much like having dirty thoughts about a priest, come to think of it.

He's obviously pretending it's a harmonica.
OR SOMETHING ELSE THAT'S DELICIOUS.
Ahem.
No, but seriously, I hear that his version of vegetarianism is better termed cornflakes-and-chocolatarianism. Hence his girth.
*Cough, cough*

not to mention the band-aid on nipple at 3:06. WTF? is that where nelly got it from? marcellus wallace?

He looks like Pete Rose.

But even more like my Dad circa 1983, when he was Morrissey's age. I'll try to find & scan a photo into my Flickr. The similarities are freaky.

I went to the show last night at the HOB - Morrissey's still absolutely amazing. After signing an LP sleeve from the audience he remarked, "I like to give at least one second of pleasure to as many people as possible." He bitched about the "House of Rules" telling him that he couldn't cook up a supply of brown rice and peppers in one of their TWO kitchens for the bus trek to Ann Arbor (and the audience wholeheartedly booed the venue for it). Just when you thought he wouldn't rip his shirt off, he did just that (only once this time - the last show I went to it was thrice), which was met to resounding cheers, save for some of the flabbergasted, such as the two jock-fellas in front of me who looked at each other in shock and clearly didn't know much about Moz. He's getting flabby, but it doesn't matter (though I think once is enough). The band was awesome, too - they led off with "This Charming Man," played "How Soon Is Now?" and assorted other oldies that I've never heard. The new stuff rocked pretty well - I dig the new album. His vocal prowess is as astonishing as ever. Amazing.

I wish I'd gone. Thanks so much for the report, TFC! I'm glad he's just as bitchy and flirtatious as ever. :o)

I hadn't planned on going, but it did end up being a treat. Didn't bring my camera, unfortunately - the stage set was pretty cool. I'll see if I can find some online photos.

Pasta, dahling, pasta. Even vegans can quite girthy if they don't watch it.

Also, a fan gave him a sombrero with the world "VILE" in large black letters under the rim. He didn't wear it, but I think he appreciated it.
