Who is Clark Rockefeller?

I've been dwelling on that question this morning - a guy who seemingly has no identity, possibly no birth certificate, and fairly pathological. Connected somehow to a murder in California some time ago, though we don't know the time, and it's unclear if he's a suspect. My theory: illegitimate son of Charles Manson.

He is a jolly nice chap, and a devoted father. I used to go sailing with him and Snooks occasionally. He is also a cider drinker who would regularly bring me a six of Magners and offered to lend me his cider press. He brought Snooks up essentially alone as his ex-wife was a workaholic who was never there during the week. The thing the press dont talk about is that this little girl was ripped away from her primary carer and shipped overseas to a mother she barely knows. The whole ID thing is pretty sketchy - I'm hoping either CIA or Louisiana trailer park

From the news this morning, it's looking more serious than that, unfortunately.

Key quote: "I think Germany was too small for him," Alexander Gerhartsreiter said. "He wanted to live in the big country and maybe get famous. Now that I see all this, he's really famous."

Read that on Sunday... also noticed "Clayton Rockfeller" in the nuptials section. Yeah, I check out the NYTimes nuptials.
