My Bum Knee

That's it? Pats are done? Bills take the AFC East? Sunday's game will be interesting. When do we get Daunte Culpepper? WaPo

We get to see whether Belechik is the chicken or the egg.

so........ let's handicap the season. i say 10 wins.

They *do* have a cupcake schedule. Is 10 enough for the AFC East?

10-6. I think we all agree.

I managed to catch the Colts/Vikings game last Sunday night. Interesting format too: since it was the 1:00 game, and RAI showed it 10:00 their time, they had erased everything that wasn't either the game itself, or setting up the play. No commercial breaks until between corners, and none of the superfluous commentary talking about the scoring drives. Whole thing cruised by in under ninety minutes. Anyway, the Colts look bad. Not like terrible bad, but mediocre bad. Manning still has flashes, but everything else said they weren't a marquee team. While I'm here: No team that has started 0-2 has won the Super Bowl, let alone make the playoffs, so we can eliminate the Jaguars and the Chargers. So it looks leak clear-sailing for the Steelers in the depleted AFC, but rumor has it they're beaten up. 10-6 for the Pats? We still have a Hall of Fame coach, and some borderline HOF-ers: Moss, Seymour, Harrison, Bruschi, (is Seau still playing?) Welker and Maroney are both beasts. I'm not saying their going 16-0 again, but for those who think 10-6: what 6 games are they gonna lose in that schedule? Steelers, Broncos, maybe the Colts and Chargers, and ...?

Where's the Broncos game? Patsies will drop one to the Bills, too.

Pats host Broncos on October 20th.

Counting out the Colts is very much like counting out the Yankees.

Couldn't agree with you more. While I was watching the Colts/Vikes game, it was like Manning wouldn't allow his team to lose, even with the porous defense and Vinatieri shanking gimme field goals. The performance was Michael Myers-esque: unless his heads cut off, don't count him out. Will they be there in the end? yes. But I don't think they're as dominant as they were years ago.

Lorbering: total idiot here. The 2007 Giants lost their first two games last year. I still think the Broncos and Texans are better teams and will be in the playoffs over the Jaguars and Chargers.

..the Dolphins. What a disgrace.

There's been not one word of Pats talk at the office today. We're in shock.

Whole lotta football left to be played. At least the AFC looks pretty lousy. Colts are in trouble. The Titans, Bills and Broncos are some seriously fraudulent first-place teams. And yeah, I picked the Bills and Broncos to make the playoffs, thank you very much.
