RIP Paul Newman

This one stings for me a bit. I might have some tea and watch Cool Hand Luke...

"The Sting" totally in my top ten. Maybe even top five.

ditto.

Although nowhere near as good, FWIW for 'Wire' fans, : the Martin Scorsese Newman / Cruise sequel 'The Color Of Money' was written by Richard Price.

"When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house, I had two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home."

whoa.

i remember the first time i saw Butch Cassidy and the Sunset Kid - it's one of my dad's favorite movies, and one night when i was maybe 5 or 6 he accidentally let me stay up and watch it via his failure to notice that i was tucked into this big, cube-shaped, harvest gold chair on the other side of the room.

i barely got it, but the ending made quite the impression.
