Guy in the lower right in front of cyclist (jeans, leather jacket) was screaming, "O-So-cial-ism!". Excellent.

oh wow, i wish i could have seen this...the grad student party i was at was a very excited party, but an excited party in a small town is not the same thing as a whole city [er, large portions of a city] pouring into the streets and erupting into jubilation.

My cousin Becky (a Graduate Student @ Valparaiso University I think?) either ran or was a big part of an 'Indiana students for Obama' movement. All the urban pockets and neighboring Chi-town areas of Indiana had a big resonance for Obama.

I think she and a few of my other cousins may have been in Grant Park last night.

It was definitely one historic evening.

I was awoken at some hour by a 6-year-old kid marching outside of my window, banging on a makeshift drum, and chanting "O-baaa-maaa, O-baaa-maaa!" I smiled, and went back to bed. It was a good night.
