Merriweather Post Pavilion

Color me impressed. I was pretty underwhelmed by their previous releases (despite Jake Z's constant monologues about their awesomeness), I gotta hand it to Animal Collective. Their new one's pretty goddamned good. <a href="http://www.sendspace.com/file/o53l5x">Here it is.</a>

I'll give Merriweather a listen.

"Water Curses" was a fun EP from 2008.

Speaking of Baltimore how about season 4 of The Wire?
Snoop has slowly emerged into a top 10 character.

Only top 10? Gotta be in my top 5! In no particular order: Snoop, Bunk, Freeman, Omar, Avon.

"Sung Tongs" did nothing for me. And the Panda Bear record wasn't anything too special. Texturally they were cool. "Merriweather" has songs.

Gotta give the show props for having three out-ed main characters that <i>aren't</i> stereotypes. Also, I'm loving how the Animal Collective thread has turned into another "Wire" appreciation post.

I also really like the Animal Collective song "Fireworks".
It was on a mix I got from a colleague last week. Fun stuff.
