Lady P and I were discussing the possibility of trying to catch a hockey game. Would anyone be interested?
I can get discount tickets to a game against the Senators on April 2nd.

CTP & I were talking about going to a game. How much of a discount? We were thinking of going to an AHL game, much cheaper. We could go to Providence, Worcester, Lowell or Manchester. We should also put a Pawsox game on the social calendar for this year.

Balcony tix would be 23.50 instead of 45.50.

Big ups to you guys for planning stuff months in advance :)
This sounds really cool - I will try and do some manuevering on my end to make it - when do you need a yay or nay by for the balcony tix?

YES PLEASE!
I maybe be late on the B's bandwagon, but "Title Town" needs a Hockey Championship!
Posted by TheFullCleveland on 2009-01-21 16:56:49 +0000
I have to see if I'm in town, but I'd love to go. When do you need to know by?
Posted by virtue on 2009-01-21 17:14:35 +0000
The tickets don't go on sale until the 2nd, but I would probably want to order asap, since there are a limited number of them.
Also, a little birdy told me that respectless' lady friend is mighty into hockey, but I don't think she's on the board. She should come, too.
Posted by pamsterdam on 2009-01-21 17:24:12 +0000
I've also emailed the other B fan I told you about...
Posted by pamsterdam on 2009-01-24 12:08:06 +0000
I should know from the beardy B's fan by Monday, and will try to reach respectless' lady friend before then too. Is that soon enough to put our order in?
Posted by virtue on 2009-01-25 17:46:17 +0000
Should do. I'll be out of town most of next week, and will be back on the 2nd. I'll probably have all kinds of opportunities to connect with the interwebs though, so I won't be back country incommunicado or anything.
Posted by pamsterdam on 2009-01-26 13:50:32 +0000
Beardy B's fan can't make it, and I'm waiting to hear from respectless regarding his lady friend.
That being said, I'm in.
Posted by TheFullCleveland on 2009-01-27 17:42:46 +0000
I'm in, if you can still get a tcket.
Posted by jbcardinale on 2009-01-27 18:18:54 +0000
I'm in. Please.

So far I've got me, Pamsterdam, Conor, tfc, jbcardinale. Any other takers?

I believe respectless's significant other is also an "absolutely".
She reiterated this on Saturday night.

I have purchased 6 tix--27 each. April 2nd at 7pm, against the Senators.

Terrific - thanks!

I just bragged about going to this game to Mike Pace, the designer who's reworking the hockey helmet for his degree project.
Realizing how psyched I am.

I'd be into it if there are any defectors or extras.
Posted by TheFullCleveland on 2009-02-20 15:50:24 +0000
Possibly a defector here - I realized the other day that the art class I'm 90% sure I'm taking starts that night. I will keep you posted!
Posted by virtue on 2009-02-20 16:33:09 +0000
I think respectless has first dibs on defectors, but you are number dos (or you can duke it out with him).

moi aussi

I am a fair weather fan. However, I think it would be cool to check them out. Keep me posted. I have been wanting to prove my skills with my fists for a while too. The next time I see respectless I am going to use a left and a right and ohh he's pulling the shirt over the head. penalty box.
Posted by TheFullCleveland on 2009-03-12 18:33:32 +0000
I'm taking the class, so I'm unfortunately out on this, and my ticket is up for grabs. Go B's!

Alright, kids, the big day is fast approaching. Where shall we meet for post work, pre game beer?
Posted by ConorClockwise on 2009-03-30 13:30:55 +0000
For authenticity it's hard to beat The Penalty Box.
For quality I recommend Boston Beer Worx. I dig their brown ale.
Posted by ConorClockwise on 2009-04-02 05:05:49 +0000
Realizing, ducking out of class early might be tough, as I have a presentation tomorrow. I might not get down to the Gah-den till around 6:45.
Will try and keep you posted.

Doors open at 6.
Posted by virtue on 2009-04-02 12:07:08 +0000
Plan is to be at the penalty box at 6. Come when you can, or give a call and we can meet at the doors.
Also, I just realized that this will be my first event at the renamed [corporate suckmeister] Garden.
