This sounds amazing.

If I am not mistaken, Tron's entire score was crafted by Wendy (William) Carlos who also did the moog Beethoven stuff in A Clockwork Orange.
Bitchen early electronic music!

I think you are mistaken, at least slightly--about Ms. Carlos's birth name. I believe she was originally Walter, not William.
Don't know whether she did the music for Tron.

That Daft Punk video reminds me of the movie Flash Gordon for some reason.

She did.
And he was thinking of William Carlos Williams.

This Is Just to Say
I have changed
the sex
that I
was born with
and which

thought
I'd have forever
Forgive me
I was unhappy,
so hairy
and male

Lorbering: Incidentally, I added her (a couple of years ago) to the reference book I edit. She'll be in the next edition, due out sometime around 2011.

This was the favorite film of my very first boyfriend (I was 14). Many afternoons we'd set about watching it on VHS, but end up making out instead. To this day, I can't think about Flash Gordon without thinking about high school make-out sessions. And I still have only seen 2 scenes all the way through.

For me it's "Ghost Dad". I don't remember any of it, though I did only "see" it once.
