the end of winter
I'm not saying we aren't going to get any more snowstorms.
I'm just saying that from here on out, they'll be SPRING snowstorms. Winter's back is broken.

We went down to our garden plot today and pulled off the mulch straw. Found these crocuses flowering, along with a couple of snowdrops and blue-purple primroses.
Crocuses are done here...daffodils are edging out, and this afternoon I saw a hyacinth ready to bud! Hoping the tulips will survive the cooler weather we're having. Pansies are re-blooming from the winter planting!
Also seeing early magnolias, bradford pears, weeping cherries and lilacs beginning to bloom. The pinky-red haze on the trees is very reassuring.
