Angular in a new way. Bring the pain. Pain you can dance to.

Finally Jandek gets *someone* laid.

I was thinking about this clip on my way to work this morning - what makes it painful? I think it's great. Admission to this event was $4USD (!) that's cheaper than a Fugazi / Evens concert or beer in most places, for that matter.
I cant think of a better way to use $4.

It's not about the $, DU.
It's the music.

Jandek should go into rap. Wear a big clock. That would be sweet.

I gotta give him credit for trying something different. I know most fans want Jandek to keep putting out "Blue Corpse" again and again, but true artists are the ones who consistently challenge themselves. Taste issues aside from the Primus bullshit behind him, the guitar work seems about on par with anything else Jandek's done. And, I mean, what the hell. Who can fault him for rolling the dice and going at least a little public, dare I say even "populist?" Who cares if he's playing to what looks like an audience who'd normally wig out at a Hot Chip show?

Maybe I am just rehashing the whole "emperor's clothes" threads we have had about 'Dek in the past, but I have and always will applaud creative people. Jandek is a creative person.

This is my introduction to Jandek, and it's pretty fucking entertaining.
