THANK YOU!!!! I think the last year at Homer Square was maybe my favorite. I think there were 22 people in that tiny space during the course of the night. P Chippy, you made some killer haroset! There was more wine than I can believe we went through, and it felt like I cooked for weeks on end.
This year, I was not hosting, but I brought some of the favorites I perfected by testing out recipes on y'all: lemon-tomato eggplant casserole, chocolate cake (one with orange, one with pecans and liquored cherries), veggie chopped liver, and pickled beets.
Seder with my relatives rather than my urban family is a very different thing. There are more children, and there's less booze. But both are wonderful.
