OK, it wasn't printed in the WSJ, but this guy must at least be aligned with it's sensibilities. On the other hand, Daniel Pearle was a WSJ reporter, he seemed to be on the left.

"I heard an educated Iraqi say today that if Saddam Hussein were allowed to run for elections he would get the majority of the vote. This is truly sad."
Not my doing with the word "educated" here, but it shows how little has been done better Iraq. Cheney had it right in '92 "What kind of Government is going to work here?"

Better in Iraq than on the streets of NYC....

As successful as the Bush Administration has shown itself to be in this area, and as adverse as most New Yorkers are to the Admiinistrations policies, I highly doubt that an armed insurrection on the scale of what is happening in Iraq could be created in New York.
The email was pointing out how much of the general populace of Iraq is against the U.S. occupation. I don't doubt that some of al Qaeda's resources are now turned to feeding the insurrection in Iraq, but it would seem a healthy portion of it is Iraqi-owned. We are not distracting the terrorists in Iraq, we're distracting ourselves.
