If you're going to use the BBCode tags, you'll need a http://. Additionally, no tags, and an http:// will work. Ala:
www.rideside.net
www.rideside.net/drupal/?q=filter/tips/3#filter-bbcode
[url]http://www.rideside.net/drupal/?q=filter/tips/3#filter-bbcode[/url]
[url=http://www.rideside.net/drupal/?q=filter/tips/3#filter-bbcode]BBCode tags[/url]
or even:
<a href="/www.rideside.net/drupal/?q=filter/tips/3#filter-bbcode">BBCode tags</a>
to get:

Wel... crap. I've been editing this for hours with no luck.

Where's the outrage at Michael Lorne and NBC about this? Call it Lipsyncgate. The producers of SNL must have OK'd this lip syncing on their "live" show. C'mon!

Milli Vanilli was right.

you're kidding about outrage, right? Lorne and NBC dont give 2 shits about quality music programming... for music programming in 2004 SNL it is the hot act of the moment that has a new album, new single, etc.
remember in the late 70's earl 80's when guests included WS Burroughs, Ornette Coleman, Fela Kuti, David Bowie etc etc...?
forget about that now...
We get 50 cent Ashlee Simpson, Matchbox Twenty etc....
I just thought the whole incident was really funny and truth telling about a large majority of the disposable entertainment in our country.
They were talking about in on Howard Stern this am. Here's the followup baba booey mentioned:
1. Sat evening she explained it as a band screwup
2. Sunday she said it was a technician who didnt do his job
3. On TRL or some such show on Monday she said she had "severe acid reflux" which required her to synch some spots of her shows, and specifically @ SNL she lost her voice 4 hrs before showtime..... (why was she able to speak to explain the problem during the credit roll?)
common showbiz procedure is to go on with the song if there is a mistake...
she could have very easily stopped the band, turned it into a humorous event and started over if it was just the band playing the wrong song. If all she was relying on was that stupid hoe down dance and prerecorded vocals, She was trying to hose us big time...

Sure, I'm (mostly) kidding. Where do they get calling it "Saturday Night Live" if they allow pre-recorded musical segments? Surely Ashlee Simpson isn't the only act ever in the history of SNL to do this. Now I'm remembering Milli Vanilli... were they outed on SNL?
The incident reflects mostly on A.S., but Come On NBC! Truth in advertising!
