'Masada live'recorded / filmed @ Tonic NYC in 1999 (in the Lower east side - I think Zorn co-owns, 4-5 years ago w/ Kurt Gabel I bumped in to this really tall string bean figured moppy hair guy , said I was sorry, started walking the other way and realized I wasnt watching where I was going right into Thurston Moore) Tonic shares (or used to at least) space w/ Soft Skull Press, publishers of Banned in DC and the Fortunate Son books...
the interplay between Zorn and Douglas is FANTASTIC - its a foil kind of thing like in the 1987-1990 heydays of Flav and Chuck. This band has so much energy, melody (yeah I said It! Melody - John Zorn aint always a noise miscreant), power and finesse...
