BK Kim: An observation.

BQ (a man of initials himself) posed the question tonight at Bukowski's (before our waitress broke my beer glass, still full, all over the table and then [i:9d39bc9377]gave me shit about it[/i:9d39bc9377]) as to why Byung-Hyun Kim is commonly called 'BK Kim' instead of 'BH Kim.' I cited the fact that the Butthole Surfers were formerly called the 'BH Surfers' on the radio before it was safe to say 'Butthole' over the air. So is it now Butthole Kim?

I think I used BK Kim in an email a few days ago, after I sent it I thought, "Wait, those aren't his initials...". I'm confounded. Call me T.G. Lorber (Maybe a related question is: Why are all 20th Century English & Irish writers refered to by initials and a last name? T.S. Eliot, J.R.R. Tolkien, W.B. Yeats, C.S. Lewis, J. K. Rowling)

Well, it's been ten days now... Is BK in the country?
