spin it for progressives

Wherein we try to see how Bush 43's 2nd term could be good for the progressive cause: Bush now has to clean up his own mess, he's got a Republican House and Senate. If Iraq is in chaos and al Qaeda is still active in four years, the Right can't pin it on the Left. Same goes for the economy. A major scandal is possible to hit: Clinton had Lewinsky, Reagan had Iran-Contra, Nixon had Watergate, Eisenhower had ... Mamie? Of course, I'd trade these points in to have a competent adminstration not driven by religious fundamentalism.

America almost elected the No. 1 liberal Senator to the White House by just about 200,000 votes.

Obama. Third Black Senator.

2006 House and Senate races might give Dems a majority. (Not to confuse Democrats with progressives, ever.)

George W. Bush will not win the 2008 election.

And it's unlikely that MF Bulldog Ch$n$y will run. (god, we really would be in hell then! Even RLadew and BizQuig would agree!) ________________ 100% Riot-Schtuffy!

Outside of the GOP forced provisional ballots in Ohio, probably the most accurate election ever. Too bad Kerry conceded, so we'll never really know...

Cheney/Giuliani 08!

Would Ohio consider provisional ballots if the final tally margin is smaller than the number of ballots? Do they do this by law or by request from a campaign? Ohio would wait 11 days to count any provisional or absentee ballots, either way. Does Kerry's concession mean anything legally?

It is my understanding that they will not count them now. And now it is in the hands of the Electorial College... Will they go as suggested?

Can I get an Amen for the popular vote?

Posted by tgl on 2004-11-03 21:28:11 +0000
Amen it's so accurate? Amen for the wisdom of the crowd? Amen to election 2004? Amen.
