At the moment, it's hard coded in the page. I could give you access to change it... it's in PHP. The thing could probably be modularized and be a plug-in for the drupal system.
Don't know if we could make it work through NNTP, either.

Alternately, could the page be set up such that we can comment on an individual strip, and have it show up with the strip?
Maybe the main page has each of the comics, each of which would link to a discussion that is unique for that day?

GYWO does not lend itself to "daily-ization". Not sure about Ted Rall.
You'll all have to content yourself with the current content, until the comics module is finished (it's barely begun).
10D wants everything parsed into his newsgroup reader, too.
