Bjork's deal

So what the deal with Bjork's new one: Medulla? I just listened to a heated argument (one woman I work with just threw a shoe at another employee) who insists it's the best album of the year and arguably Bjork's best work. Appearantly Mike Patton is on it. Another person I work with thinks it's the third coming of Chirst, and Pitchfork has it listed in the Top New Music with an 8.4. I haven't heard it... Anyone?

Its really bitchin. It is difficult sometimes to judge it as a standalone work due to its so-called "novelty" status of having voices only, but most percussion elements were pre-recorded, and Bjork was extensively working w/ Patton. Patton suggested they bring in Rahzel et. al, and the (IMHO fantastic) results speak for themselves. Buy it and turn it up loud.... _______________________________ “When you’re creating your own shit, man, even the sky ain’t the limit.” Miles Davis
