I love Amish jokes.
Actually, todays comics are unremarkable, however, the new format is wonderful. TGL2, you amaze me.

You have your two major online comics suppliers: www.comics.com & www.ucomics.com
I can currently handle them both (if you try the link 'comics' at the top, you may be able to figure out how to handle adding additional comics from those two sites).
I need to decide to catogorize comics by "node type" or by the taxonomy system. Then, instead of depending on the presence of special, magic, data in the comics record, I can extend the system to interpret other types of online comics as needed without hardcoding the extraction bit.
...of all the things that need doing in the world, I've picked this.

Sure, sure: children are "lazy" while Amish people "get up early".

cause this tennage kid who cant get out of bed is SO much more educated than the rest of the American population in the red states. ugggh.
A friend of mine who spent some time in Missouri while he was in the army called it the show me the way out state. when Jackie's parents moved there for approx 1 year, I substituted Missouri with 'Misery'.
More and More, 'Misery' is what I feel reading this strip.
.....show me the way out of this comic strip.

I think he's supposed to be pre-teen.
His brother is the one who wouldn't get out of bed.
I would argue that Huey would be a sage to us all if he were among us.

LOL!
looks like boondocks are in agreement w/ Chris Rock's oscar comments about Jude Law
(something to the extent of... Hollywood's not selective enough of the star power / talent pool when they are thinking of casting a film.... if you want Tom Cruise and all thats available is Jude Law.... Wait!!!! if you want Denzel and all you can get is me (Chris Rock).... Wait!!!)
On a political sidenote its funny how all of Hollywood's star players laughed it up about all of Rock's Bush swipes, but started crying big tears when acerbic wit was applied to their personnas...

Dawn, was it you or Walroot who was with me when I first heard this song on MTV?
The conversation with the VJ was something like:
"We wrote this song to introduce a dance."
"Really, what's the name of the dance?"
"Da Butt!"
Still cracks me up. Of course, I get to be 13 again.

I do not remember the video, but I remember all of us saying, "It's called 'da but.'"

Shame on Aaron McGruder for taking a sabbatical so early in his career.
Bold move for the Glob to drop him instead of continuing with reruns.
Also, the replacement strip F Minus is really funny. Today's made me laugh out loud, and then I went back and read the archived month off of comics.com and laughed aloud another half dozen times.
